Hyperwallet Expands Offerings in Partnership with Choice Bank

San Francisco’s Hyperwallet has announced a new partnership with Choice Bank that will dramatically increase the number of currency options available via the global payouts provider both immediately and in the years to come.

“Whether they’re paying an app developer in Sydney or a business consultant in Tokyo, many businesses today need to distribute earnings to payees all around the world,” explained Hyperwallet CEO Brent Warrington. With its prepaid cards, Hyperwallet enables that developer or consultant to get paid in real-time, enjoying immediate access to their funds.

The partnership with Choice Bank will add a number of new currencies to Hyperwallet’s payout options, including the Mexican Peso (MXN), the Australian Dollar (AUD), and the Japanese Yen (JPY). Hyperwallet’s prepaid cards are now available for more than 45 currencies. “In this increasingly global economy, rapid and convenient payout options are an absolute necessity,” Warrington added. Hyperwallet also said that it would add prepaid card functionality to its REST payout APIs later in the year.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in San Francisco, Hyperwallet presented its global payout API at FinDEVr New York 2016 in March. In April, the company inked a deal with OnFrontiers, a worldwide expert research platform, to help the network’s independent contractors get paid. Hyperwallet was highlighted by fellow FinDEVr alum Trulioo last December as one of the top 10 cross-border payment services in North America, and the company’s CEO was interviewed by Let’s Talk Payments last fall around the same time Hyperwallet unveiled a new loyalty program for independent workers.

Hyperwallet won the PX Payments Award for Best Corporate or Government Fund Payments Program of 2016 in May. And in April, the company was picked by PwC Canada as a finalist in the Vision to Reality ‘Innovator of the Year’ awards for 2016. The company recently opened new offices in Austin, Texas.
